Петроглифы Долины Огня / Valley of Fire State Park

Долина Огня (Valley of Fire State Park) - старейший парк штата Невада (открыт в 1935 году), расположенный в 80 км к северо-востоку от Лас-Вегасана высоте от 610 до 790 м над уровнем моря и занимающий площадь 141 км2. Долина Огня примыкает к национальной зоне отдыха "Озеро Мид" при впадении в него реки Верджин-Ривер

Atlatl Rock - a large but somewhat isolated group of red rocks provides a striking backdrop to the main campsite in the state park; the other is a short distance away at Arch Rock. Together these total 73 sites (some with hookups). Ancient petroglyphs can be found at many places amongst the rocks, and even for those not staying overnight, the 2 mile road past the campgrounds makes for a scenic diversion.
