We can find the traces of the sulphur industrial mining in the frame of the modern fumarol fields and in the places of the sulphur stores. For example, the secondary landscapes between Stolbchatyy and Kruglyy Capes on the west seaside of the island are situated on the place of the Japanese storehouse. We observe here volcanic substratum with high sulphur contents which covers the coastal plain, the vegetation community coincides with typical types, which are wide-spread around fumarol formations. Here wide-spread mountain pine, which forms the vegetation belt on height over 700 m. The secondary landscapes are wide-spread within the old Japanese roads; the main species of trees are stone birch and alder; Sasa dominants as undergrowth, and some young dark coniferous trees appears here.
