This historical monument is approximately situated in 70 km to the north from Nakhodka and several kms. to the south from village Sergeevka. Shaiginskoe gorodische was excavated in 1891. This is the unique monument of Chjurjeny culture, existing in the territory of Primorski Region in Middle Ages. In those days there was the large city with the numerous population, but it was ruined by the Mongolian invasion. This city had three entrances and system of defensive strengthenings, dwelling houses and industrial buildings. Some of them are extant now. Ancient dwellers of Shaiginskoe gorodische were engaged in various kinds of crafts and agriculture, cultivation of cattle, also hunting, fishing and taiga craft.
